As soon as Monomi had gotten back, Haruto imediately said to travel on to the training area. Monomi obediently followed, too engrossed in her own thoughts to really pay attention. A light flashed within Monomi's headset, and they were teleported to the area. As soon as they were there, Haruto charged towards a magic portal, waiting for a monster to come out.
A small monster, shaped like a lamb, popped out of the portal Haruto was standing in front of. It was quite low level: low in stamina and low in power. Haruto looked over to Monomi, but she decided that Haruto could handle a monster like it himself. Plus, as a party, if they fought different monsters, they would gain more experience. She ignored Haruto's look for helpm thinking that he at least knew how to fight and decided to fight another monster, same type as the one in front of Haruto. She took out her fans and started fighting with moves that she learned from the manual, and after several hits, she killed the monster. The words: "Level 2" floated around Monomi's character. Monomi turned around to see Haruto's situation and half to her surprise, half expected, Haruto was struggling. Monomi was skeptical. "Do you even know any other moves of your character other than the simple attack and defend?" She asked, wondering whether Haruto had actually learned how to properly use his character before jumping into battle. "You need to look at the monster's type and know what it's weak against." Monomi looked at Haruto and typed: *facepalm*

[Grrr! I haven't thought of the way for him to get his 'special item' [if any] yet =/]
Haruto instantly got an extremely guilty look on his face when Monomi asked him if he knew any of the other attacks. Okay, so he was starting to regret not reading his manual...but what could he say, he had this girl to help him. Though, he felt weird having a girl have to help him out. Though, it was obvious, that this girl, unlike him, had read the manual. "Well...actually." Haruto confessed guiltily, "Not really, I didn't think I'd actually hang around on this game that much so I didn't bother reading the manual."

[Don't worry. ^_^ I'm sure we'll find some way for him to get his 'special item.' I mean really, if we can't find any way, we can just say it randomly appeared the next time he logged in. ^_^ Btw, I need to make Haruto the age of Monomi's brother for my twist to work. ^_^]
Monomi sighed a large, deep sigh into her microphone. She wondered how Haruto was actually planning on playing the game if he hadn't met her. "Okay, here's how you do this..." And so Monomi went along explaining the simple procedures for killing the monsters. "You can go try to kill one of those sheep monsters. They're real simple... for the most part. I'll stand back here just in case. Actually, I think I'll-" Monomi stopped mid sentence. She noticed a sign saying that she had a message. She read the preview of the message, and it was a mass message to all people near the one root town. A contest was about to be held. "Hey, Haruto, check your messages. There should be something about a contest being held in Mac Anu. Do you wanna go see it?"

[Yeah, I was thinking maybe it could be a ring with a small circle in the center with a wing on both sides of it =D, but I'm still deciding rather to do that or not.]
Haruto listened carefully and quietly as Monomi told him how to attack, look through his items, and many other things that, obviously, were also listed in the manual. It was taking quite a few minutes for Monomi to list the many things and Haruto's mind had just started to wander when she told him to go kill one of the sheep monsters. He glanced over at the one that had remained un-touched after his failed attempt to attack and quickly turned to battle it, until Monomi called his name. He paused in mid-step as he turned to look at her, wondering what it was that she wanted now. He heard the single beeping noise and saw the sign on his own screen, but had no clue what it was. When Monomi told him what it was, he fumbled through his thoughts trying to remember how to access his mail. He quickly remember and opened the letter, reading what it said inside. It was for some kind of thing called an Event. Just from the name Haruto guessed that it was some sort of activity that you could get prizes from. Haruto continued to read, but, by accident, he pressed a button on his controller and the message deleted. He sighed in despair, as he had hoped he could've read it all, but he had gotten the overall grasp of what it was so he replied to Monomi, "Sure...so...what kind of contest is it?" [/blockquote]

[Although with the ring, you have to make sure that it's not part of his character since I already said that Monomi checked his character and found nothing in particular about it.... I think a ring counts.]
Monomi read over her letter. Something about an anniversary of some sort for the game. They were holding a large contest for it, and the contest was split into sections based on level. The theme of the contest was said to be announced. "Hmm... it doesn't say. It seems that it'll be random. But let's check it out anyway. We can probably get some good items and sometimes experience points." Monomi read the letter further. "It looks like they're holding the contest tomorrow and that we have to show up at Mac Anu for further details. Anyways, it looks fun, and it might speed up our training process." Monomi was happy with any way to get out of training. She didn't like training; it was boring for her. Even more, her brother had just arrived home from work. "So anyway, we'll call it quits now. We can meet up tomorrow around the same time we met today. We'll meet by the same bench.... I've got go now. Bye!" Monomi quickly logged off. She had other things she had to do. ...[End of Day 1]
[Actually, can we continue the story outside of the game? It would help build the plot. *looks at you with begging eyes* Like the story ties together even when they're not in the game.]

[Yeah, I'm thinking that Haruto will get it from the event or something like that. Sure, I don't mind, not sure what I'll type up, but we can do it =D lol, every time I move to the phone conversation it gets really long XD]
Haruto reached forward his hand as Monomi disappeared inside the spiraling golden light the surrounded her before she disappeared. He had wanted to say something else, but she had left before he had gotten a chance. He brought his hand back down to his side as he stood quietly, he felt awkward standing here by himself with hardly any sound. He decided that before he logged off, he might as well do a little more training against these sheep-like creatures. He had a few more minutes before he had to get off. Stepping towards one of the magic portals, he readied himself as the small white sheep appeared before him. Charging forward he slashed out at the sheep with his blades and it was instantly destroyed.
~*~*~*15 Minutes Later*~*~*~
Off-Line Haruto took off the light visor from his head and placed it beside the computer. He glanced at the clock that was displayed on the lower right corner of his computer. It read 9:48 PM. "Well" Haruto mumbled to himself as he stood up, "I guess I'll give Mrs.Saito a call, then I'll head to bed." He pushed the chair back as he stood and picked up the phone, dialing in her number and held the phone to his ear. His first attempt to call ended with him getting a busy tone from the other line. He waited a few minutes before calling again, this time the phone rang twice and a woman picked up the phone. "Hello, Saito residence." "Hey, Mrs. Saito? It's Haruto, I was calling to ask about how Suki was doing." He tried his best to hide the slight quiver in his voice, worrying that her condition may have gotten worse. "Oh, well, she's still in the hospital..." Haruto had a slight feeling that something else was wrong, he wanted to see if she was conscious yet, but he was worried that she might still be. Staring down at the ground for a minute, silence filling his small bedroom, he finally asked, "Is she still in the coma?" "Y-Yes, she still is." Haruto felt like he should have felt some sort of despair, but he didn't. Nor was he surprised to hear that she was still in the coma, it was as if he subconsciously expected her to still be in the coma. "Okay, well, thanks, I'm going to go visit her tomorrow morning if she's still there. Good-Bye, Mrs.Saito." "I'm so sorry..." It was the last words he heard before he pressed the end button and the call instantly ended. He wondered why she was apologizing, but he didn't bother trying to figure something out that he knew he'd end up having the wrong answer. So he just headed to his bed and flipped off the light that shown from the lamp beside his bed as he slipped into a dream-less sleep.
[Gah...kinda crappy, but I don't know, I think it'd be cool if Haruto met Monomi's brother at the hospital. Like...her brother wasn't in his class, just Suki knew him from somewhere else.]

[Actually, I was hoping to have Haruto already be friends with Monomi's brother and have Haruto's character be based off of Monomi's brother. Monomi knows who Haruto is but doesn't know what he looks like, and doesn't suspect that the Haruto she knows is her brother's friend. It's like meeting a Christopher online, but knowing one, too. You're not gonna expect them to be the same Christoper since it's a common name.... Also, Haruto doesn't know that Kenji has a younger sister. That's how I was going to do it. Oh yea.... you have Haruto sleeping pretty early... ^_^;; You can make the time later if you want... or make him go upstairs to do homework or something.]
Monomi took off her headset and placed it on the table. She felt a bit guilty for leaving Haruto so suddenly, but she figured that she would just apologize tomorrow. She had business with her brother to take care of. "Welcome home, Kenji! Mom and Dad aren't home yet.... Actually, Mrs. Saito called and said she had something to tell you, but I don't know what. She said to call you back when you got home." "Something to tell me? Well I guess I'll go call her then. Put my jacket away for me will you, Monomi?" Monomi's brother Kenji left the room. He went upstairs to his room to go call Mrs. Saito. Monomi, bursting with curiosity, followed her brother after he closed the door to his room. It was wrong to eavesdrop, but Monomi couldn't help it. She listened quietly. "Hello? Mrs. Saito? Hi this is Kenji... good, how are you...." There was a short moment of deep silence. "SHE WHAT???!!! How did that happen? ...... what? ... a game? Wait, my sister plays that game...." That was enough for Monomi to understand a bit of what was going on. This had something to do with The World; there had to be some kind of connection. And this was bad. But before she did anything, she waited for her brother's conversation to end. "Uh huh... okay.... you too, Mrs. Saito... good night." Monomi waited for her brother to walk out so that she could interrogate him, but after waiting for about twenty seconds, her brother never came out. She decided to do some research of her own. Monomi quickly ran downstairs to her computer. She typed as fast as she could to get to The World BBS. But there were so many topics and sections that she didn't know where to start. She needed more information to start her search. She ran into the hall where she could see her brother's room from downstairs, but the door still remained closed. She obviously wouldn't be getting anything information from him tonight. Instead, Monomi decided to call it a night and head to her room. There was so much information to sort out, but she was too tired. She turned off her computer and lights and headed upstairs to take a shower.
[Okay, so a few minor details: I kinda forget whether I had Monomi's computer inside her bedroom or in a completely different room and another floor... I really need to start getting that staight. Also, I forget how old you made Haruto, but he's gonna have to be older than Monomi and if he's friends with Suki and maybe Kenji, then he'll have to be of a good working and driving age..... 16/17 maybe? Monomi can be 14/15. it's not that bad of an age gap XP]

[Lol, okay, that sounds good, Oops, I'll edit that, I kept changing the time because originally he was going to eat, then go to bed, but then I edited that and I guess I forgot to change it to fit what he did XD and, okay, I'll have Haruto be 16 =D he kinda seems like the older, lazy, never reading the manual 16 year old XD Oh yeah, if you want you can make a bio for Kenji =D so...I guess I'll move it to the next day]
Off-Line The day following the day of which Haruto first started playing The World R:3 was a Saturday. Normally, Haruto wouldn't have been reluctant to stay in bed till the afternoon, but today was different. As soon as he awoke, he leaped from his bed and sat down in the chair in front of his computer. Excited for another day of game playing. Playing the visor on his head, he typed in his username and password and accessed The World R:3 for another day of fun-filled adventure.
On-Line Haruto had already quickly gotten use to the main controls of the game. So he entered it with ease. Arriving in front of the towns Chaos Gate. He stretched out his arms into the air as he did a morning stretch. It didn't seem like to many people were on right now, so he decided that while he waited for Monomi to get on, he might as well buy a few potions. Since while training by himself the day before, he had almost died because he didn't have that many potions. Which reminded him, with a smile, that he had managed to gain a couple levels. Smiling Haruto headed for one of the shops and requested a couple of HP Potions. He was handed two bottles, he gave the clerk a few coins and then walked over to the bench where he was suppose to meet Monomi. "It might be a little while before she gets here, kinda wish I hadn't woken up to early."
[Kinda...small...but oh well XD] [/blockquote]

[Well.... can Kenji even have a bio? He doesn't even play the game. Oh yea, you have to remember that they're playing The World from America on the Japanese servers, so you have to account for time difference. I'll just have the contest span over a few days so that our characters aren't waking up at 12:00 am just to join a contest. ^_^;; Also, I'll probably change Suki to an English name.... like Sara just because.... too many Japanese. ^_^;; Oh yea.... as I wrote the story, I kinda already made the first day a school day.... plus Kenji is at work... so it makes more sense as a school day.]
Off-Line: Monomi woke up and stared at the ceiling at her bed. Tons of thoughts rolled through her head as she thought about the day before. The blurred hand, the phone call, all of this was sudden for her. She sat up at a jolt as she remember that she had to meet Haruto at the bench, although the time they agreed wasn't for a while. She plopped back down and wondered what to do. She remembered that she had to go and interrogate her brother, but knowing him, he was still asleep. She sighed a deep sigh. Oddly enough, the phone suddenly rang although it was around 8:00. Her parents picked up the phone. "Hello, this is the Yagi residence," her mother said. "I'm sorry but she's still asleep right now. May I take a message? ... Mmhmm... okay... you're welcome... buh bye." Monomi obviously knew that the phone call was for her. But who could it be? One of her friends from school? She hopped up from her bed and dashed down the stairs into the kitchen where her parents were. "Hey Mom, who was that?" "Oh Monomi, so you were up. It was Julien. He said he had something to tell you. He said to call him back once you woke up, so why don't you go call him." Julien, one of Monomi's few friends at school. Smart, funny, athletic, popular... a perfect opposite of Monomi at school, other than the fact that they were both incredibly smart. He would occasionally call with big news or something of that sort. Monomi picked up the phone and dialed. "Hello? came the voice from the other end. "Hello, this is Monomi Yagi. Is this Julien?" "Yeah. So you got the fact that I called, huh." "Yeah.... so what did you want?" The was a slight pause... "Actually, I heard from my brother that this girl in his class... Suki I think it was, is in a coma! It's just a rumor floating around, but there's more. They say that she was playing The World and something happened and her head suddenly slammed onto the table. That seems so creepy." Monomi was stunned. "Hello? Monomi? Are you there?" "Uhh.... Sorry, Julien, but I gotta go. Bye, see ya Monday." Monomi slammed the phone on the receiver. This was big. Everything fit together now. She had actually seen rumors about comas on the BBS. It apparently had happened in the past before, although she didn't actually believe it. She needed to contact Haruto. No... she needed to verify. This was just a rumor, right? Maybe the story was a bit different. Maybe there was more to the story. She needed to ask her brother. But brother was still asleep. She decided that Haruto could come first. She went and turned on her computer. She decided that if Haruto wasn't on, then she would just send a message. The computer turned on, Altimate opened up, and she typed in her password.
[Too epic a post.... too much homework, too. I'll continue later. XP]

[Hai, Captain Monomi XD (sorry couldn't resist), yeah, but Japanese names are fuuuun, XD But you can change it if you'd like. I actually made a temp bio for her, but I don't have all the correct info on it yet since I just edited a bio I had before of a character I decided I didn't want. uh...what else was there...oh yeah, so it's a Saturday....right? Or is it some other day? I'm confused T_T Darn it! Time difference, never liked those...so...what time would it be then? Gaaah! I'm confusing myself ;_; this isn't good. Captain Monomi needs to give meh some details. (Well, I really don't have much to reply to just because he's already there, so...yeah. uhhh....) [/blockquote]

[Well, I guess you could continue on with what happens to Haruto on The World. You have to realize that if Haruto wakes up super early to play the world and Monomi wakes up at like 9:00, then Haruto has a lot he can do at that time.... actually, you can add a plot twist where something happens to Haruto while Monomi's still sleeping.... that way when I write the two different perspectives, there are 2 different stories going on at once, and it won't be boring. ^_^]

[ah ha! I think I've...no...nevermind. I've planned that he's going to get the 'rare' item during the contest thing. Oh wait, I guess I could have maybe those two PKers come back. Yep, another attack XD ...I tend to love putting my characters in danger o.o don't know why but I do... It's kinda long, but kinda crappy all in the same thing, but I hope it's okay >.> Lol, lots of long posts XD]
Haruto paced back in force in front of the bench as he waited for Monomi to arrive. He half wished that he hadn't been so eager to leap from his bed and come here. Feeling upset, and just a little tired. "Well," Haruto finally mumbled, "It might be a little while till she gets here so maybe I'll do a little training, if I'm not back when she does get here she'll probably send me a message or something." He ceased his anxious pacing in front of the bench and headed back across the bridge to the Chaos Gate. Saying the three key words, he was transported to the same area he had been at before. Like yesterday, there weren't any people here and Haruto felt a little awkward being by himself again, but he pushed aside the feeling and started to head towards one of the magic portals. He didn't get far though, when he was overshadowed by another person. Haruto slightly smiled as he turned to face the other person, maybe he could train with this player for a little. He looked up into the face of the other player and instantly took a step back. It was one of the same guys who had attacked him the day before. He was a twin blade just like Haruto. "Oh, come one!" Haruto said with disbelief. "What the heck is it you want from me?" He took another step backwards as he drew both his weapons, but didn't get a chance to use them before a rough hand suddenly grab both his wrist sand yanked them behind his back. Haruto bit his lip to keep himself from screaming out. It was so lifelike, he could actually feel the pain on his wrists. The player that now held him hostage was the Blademaster from before, the one that had been first to attack him the day before. "What the heck is it that you want from me?" Haruto asked, his voice quivering slightly as he struggled to free himself from the other players grasp. They didn't reply, and it upset Haruto even more that they wouldn't tell him what it was that they wanted from him. He was just a newbie, hardly a high level, and he didn't even have many items besides the potions he had bought. In a frantic attempt to free himself, Haruto stomped down his foot on the Blademasters own foot. Hoping to free himself, but it was like the Blademaster had no feeling at all from his stomp. He didn't even flinch. Preoccupied with his attempt to escape, Haruto didn't even realize the other Twin Blade approaching him with his weapons held out. Noticing the approaching shadow on the ground, Haruto looked up and was just a second to late in completely avoiding it, his left arm received the fast blow from the blade and started to bleed lightly. "Geez, could they make this any more lifelike?" Haruto mumbled as he struggled harder to free himself. But the Blademaster didn't even loosen his grip. Instead he tightened his grip even harder on his wrist. This time, Haruto couldn't even stop himself from screaming in pain. Why'd the game have to be so lifelike, it was only he second day and already he was about to be PKed. "This sucks," Haruto mumbled as he ceased his struggling, "Why'd I even join this lame game? Sure, it was nice meeting Monomi, but if this is what's going to keep happening, what's the point." [/blockquote]

[Okay first off, I think I'll just keep Suki... I mean, it's not that weird to have an aliance of 3 Japanese people. ^_^ Oh yea, I did a tiny bit of research... and I have this: 1. The World R:3, as it is now called, is.. well, you said something about it on that banner thingy on the main page of the forum. It doesn't have any new character classes, right? Cuz I have no idea about what happens in The World R:2. Anyways, I said that bugs have been fixed, new areas have been created, the layout has changed, and they've made a new headset with facial expression recognition. Also, this story takes place in 2030. 2. The World R;3 runs on Altimit Mine OS. That's about it. Hm... I'm wondering how I should answer to that post... ^_^]
Monomi arrived at Mac Anu. First thing she did was check for whether Haruto was on at the moment. She looked at the sceen, but there was something a bit weird. Haruto's name flickered on screen. It was as if he was constantly logging on and off all at once. But Monomi knew that this wasn't possible. Something was up.... there was another bug. Something was happening to Haruto; Monomi knew this much. It probably had something to do with what happened to Haruto the first time that they met, although Monomi didn't want to jump to conclusions.
Monomi had a first predicament to overcome: how to find Haruto. She didn't have the slightest clue of how to find him. She tried sending a message to him, but it wasn't working. "What am I supposed to do now?" Monomi thought for a bit. Haruto was a beginner, that much she knew. She knew that he hadn't read the manual, although she didn't know whether Haruto went and read the manual after their encounter. Even still, she knew that Haruto probably wouldn't venture off anywhere too far from Mac Anu or to any place too high a level for himself. Monomi started off by searching through Mac Anu. She looked for anything flickering, blinking, blurred. Anything that looked unnatural, Monomi checked. But after checking for ten minutes, she figured that Haruto probably wasn't wondering the streets of Mac Anu. There wasn't much going on that looked unnatural.... not at this time at Japan, anyway. it was getting late and the town was slowly growing emptier... emptier than the usual number at least. Next, she decided on the training field that they went to yesterday. She was about to run the the nearest portal, but she heard a voice outside the game. Monomi's mother was yelling for her. "Monomi, come eat your breakfast! Your brother's already up, he's going to eat your share if you don't hurry up." Monomi's stomach growled. She just realized that she hadn't eaten anything yet. But what about Haruto? Was he really in trouble, or was there just some glitch in the game today? This wasn't good, but Monomi's mother's voice was getting louder by the second. It was either leave Haruto for later or feel the wrath of her mother. Monomi chose to leave Haruto. It might have been a glitch, and besides, Haruto wasjust some random guy she had met just the other day. For all she knew, he could have forgotten about her. Monomi logged out and took off her headset. She would check back for Haruto later. Plus, she could get information from her brother seeing as he was up and about to eat her portion of the breakfast. Monomi dashed to the kitchen and decided to leave Haruto haning.
[Oh gosh that took a while to write..... new note.... I'm gonna try to cut down on my posts..... *like that's ever gonna happen* XP And aww.... Monomi's got a cold attitude towards Haruto now.]

[No, since it'd take up to much time to think of new jobs, I just combined The World and The World R:2 Lol XD Okay, I think I got it...maybe...it may stink really bad... but it's the best that I can think of. Darn you Monomi, being so mean to poor Haruto XD...it'd be awesome if Haruto became...like trapped in the game like Tsukasa in SIGN]
Haruto sunk to his knees before falling fully onto the ground, it had all happened so fast, he didn't even see the attack. But, so now he had died...all that experience he had earned, probably gone now. Haruto's color faded to a grayscale as he lay motionless on the ground, his weapons abandoned on both sides. He wondered where he would end up since he had died. Maybe...he could wait for someone to come revive him. But he didn't have much time to think. Slowly his character began to disappear. Fear filled Haruto's mind, this wasn't suppose to happen, no he was just suppose to be transported back into the town. Why was he disappearing, what was happening?
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Haruto opened his eyes and blinked several times, clearing the haziness from his eyes. Sitting up he looked around in confusion, where was he? Haruto had no idea at all. It seemed to be some sort of cave and no one else was here. Was this suppose to happen when he died? He didn't think he had been here when he died, but then again, the memories of just moment ago was a little hazy. All he could remember was that he had been attacked. Getting to his feet he side-stepped dizzily, holding out his hands against the wall to catch his balance. "Ugh..." Haruto moaned as he waited for the dizziness in his head to cease. Once it did, he moved away from the wall. "I guess I should send Monomi a e-mail, she might know where I am." Haruto prepared to send a message, but just as soon as he clicked send, a message flashed on the screen saying something about an error and his message not going through. "Oh, boy." Haruto mumbled, "This could be a problem." His first thought was to stay put, wait for someone to come help him. But that thought didn't last long, he didn't want to just sit around doing nothing. He would just go wander and try to find his way out of the cave.
He quickly headed to his right through the tunnel walking swiftly. It was like there was absolutely no life here. No sound, he couldn't even hear the sound of his footsteps against the cold floor. It gave him the creeps, if this went on for to long he'd just log out, but he wanted to try a little to get out on his own.
Haruto had been walking for several minutes now and he had a glimpse of hope that he had found the exit when he saw a faint light illuminating from one of the tunnels. He took a mad dash towards it only to find that it wasn't the exit, but, instead, a girl [we bring back Aura], she had beautiful flowing pale white hair and a long white dress. The girl was floating in the center of a large open area in the cave. Her eyes were closed as if she was sleeping, but as soon as Haruto approached her, they opened, slowly, and she stared at Haruto. "Uh..." Haruto didn't know what to say, was this another PC? Or was it someone who was suppose to transport him out of the cave. "Haruto..." The girls voice was soft, quiet, but had a soothing ring to it. Haruto barely noticed these things though, as he was wondering how she knew his name. "Umm...." Still, Haruto had no clue what he should say. Instead, he just stepped closer to her, hoping that by doing so he could, somehow, be transported out of the dungeon like area. He almost fell backwards when she reached out her hands to grab his own. He flinched as her touch felt like the feeling of holding cold ice in her hands. He wanted to pull away, but he couldn't. He felt completely paralyzed by some unknown source. "It's in...your....hands" The girl spoke once more as Haruto watched a golden ring appear around his finger. "Hey! What?!" Haruto exclaimed finally able to tear his hand away from the girls light grasp and grab his hand. "What is this?" He grabbed the ring and tried to yank it off his finger but it didn't budge. Suddenly, he felt himself being transported away from the area, the pale girl watching emotionless as he left and was transported, finally, back to the town.

[Zoki it's amazing!!! XD I love this! It's the perfect beginning to the plot! Okay.... so I'm going to be taking a small leave on this story... while I'm on leave, I'll be typing the actual story. This will give me time to catch up with the posts. Plus, I have to start thinking about how Monomi will uncover some of the important facts of the story on her own with her brother.... o.O You can keep in touch with me on MAL. *still working on the blog promise...
