The World
Blademaster[/i]
Blademasters rank third in terms of attack growth and rank first in terms of physical defense growth. Although their growth is slower than that of Heavy Axemen and Heavy Blades, the fact that they can reach a stat of 99 in all physical categories coupled with their relatively fast attack speed and area skills makes them the highest tier physical class.
Blademasters are fairly average in their skills. Their attacks skills are fairly powerful, and have multiple hits. They have a fairly diverse range of attack elements as well, utilizing Darkness, Earth, Fire, and Water elements in their skills.

Heavy Axeman
Heavy Axemen boast the best physical attack and HP growth bar none. Their physical accuracy is also greater than that of Blademasters. This unfortunately comes with the tradeoff of a much slower walking speed and attack speed. Due to their overwhelming HP advantage as well as their decent physical and magical defenses, Heavy Axemen are the tanks of The World, best left right in front of a strong opponent and trading blows. They unfortunately don't do so well against faster enemies and magic-casting enemies unless they get the first strike in.
The skills of Heavy Axeman focus mostly on power. They are geared towards targeting multiple enemies and dealing large amounts of damage. In return their attacks only hit a few times, and are fairly inaccurate. They have access to the elements of darkness, earth, thunder, and water.

Heavy Blade
Heavy Blades are one of the strongest classes in The World. They are notable for their use of huge, double-handed swords and katanas.
Heavy Blades are among the three strongest classes due to their ability to equip the heaviest, highest level armors. In terms of physical attack growth, Heavy Blades lose only to Heavy Axemen. They generally have higher physical attack and accuracy than their one-handed counterparts, Blademasters, but they sacrifice attack speed and defense growths in the process.
Heavy Blades have four different types of skills. Two are accessible when using Katana type weapons, and two can be used when wielding other types of swords. While powerful, their skills are limited by their small number of hits. Also the elemental attributes of their attacks are limited. Heavy Blades are only able to make use of the Fire, Thunder, Earth, and Wood elements in their attacks.

Long Arm
Long Arms are considered to be near equal to Twin Blades, differing only in that they have greater attack and defense stats as well as far superior range while sacrificing the magical capabilites and multi-hit skills of the Twin Blade. Long Arms also share the same HP and SP growths as Heavy Blades and Blademasters.
Long Arms are capable of naturally reaching a stat of 99 for Physical Attack. Long Arm skills are multi-hit, but don't hit as many times as a Twin Blade. The Double Sweep family of skills employs the Long Arm's massive range by dealing two strong hits of damage to all enemies within range of the spear.
Long arms specialize in powerful physical attacks. Most of their attacks can deal incredible amounts of damage. They make use of the Fire, Thunder, Water, and Wood elements. They make up for their high damage by having a fairly lengthy cooldown between hits, and having fairly useless area of effect attacks. Their Double Sweep line of skills, which hits all nearby enemies only has a small range.

o GiJuk Doom (Wood, Lv. 3)
Twin Blade
Twin Blades are the most balanced class in The World. They are noted for their superior traveling speed and hit rate. Twin Blades are the proverbial "jack of all trades, master of none" due to the fact that while they have decent attack stat growths and have decent magical stats, they are unable to equip the strongest armors, have lower attack growths than the other classes, and do not have access to stronger magic skills. Their greatest strength lies with their multi-hit skills. Each skill has several elemental versions, and as a result are capable of dealing massive damage to enemies weak against those elements.
There are three basic types of Twin Blade attacks: Staccato (deals over 15 hits to a single target), Tiger Claws (deals over 5 hits to targets within the player's vicinity), and Saber Dance (deals 4 strong hits to a single enemy). Although the non-elemental versions of these attacks don't do quite as much damage as one would hope, the elemental versions can deal ridiculous damage to monsters with the opposite element. Unfortunately, none of these attacks have versions dealing Earth or Water damage.

o Dark Dance (Dark, Lv. 2)
o Darkness Slash (Dark, Lv. 3)
Wavemaster
Wavemasters are the mage class of The World. Although they are physically the weakest class, being capable of equipping only the lightest armor, they have outstanding magical stats and can equip rods capable of using the most powerful Lv. 4 spells. In Legend of the Twilight, Reki and Magi use tomes in place of rods, but it is unknown whether these are an administrator feature or a new weapon for the whole class.
Wavemasters are considered a party staple due to their high SP rating, and are among the most popular classes. Possibly because of how broken the class was, The World R:2 divides the former Wavemaster class into attack-based and healing-based classes.
In .hack//SIGN, Wavemasters had the innate ability to reveal hidden areas the way Fairy's Orbs normally do.

Edge Punisher[/i]
Edge Punisher is a class in The World R:2. Similar to the Heavy Blades from The World, Edge Punishers use huge, double-handed Broadswords.
Edge Punishers excel in physical attacking, especially against armored foes; however, they are much slower than classes such as the Blade Brandier. Edge Punishers also have higher defense from the heavy armors they can equip.

Macabre Dancer
Macabre Dancer is a class in The World R:2. A strange class, they wield fan-like weapons. They cut their enemies with the bladed tips of their fans in a battle form that resembles a dance. The inhabitants of The World consider them the "Flowers of the Battlefield".
Macabre Dancers are the expert class for status effects and parameter changes, and are very balanced casters, learning both healing and attack spells. Macabre Dancers gain spells incredibly quickly, at a rate of almost one per job level, but learn no arts.

Flick Reaper
Flick Reaper is a class in The World R:2 that wields giant scythes. The Flick Reapers are similar to the Heavy Axemen in The World. Flick Reapers use large weapons such as Axes and Scythes to attack with.
Flick Reapers are very weak to long range attacks. They're the medium range, "area attack" class. They "flick" multiple enemies and push them away before they can get close enough for melee attacks, but a good Steam Gunner could overpower them by attacking from afar.
Flick Reaper Weapons
Skills[/i]
* Wicked Strike (Target: Area, Normal, SP required: 15, Job Lv. 1)
* Lotus Flower (Target: Area, Aerial, SP required: 18, Job Lv. 6)

[With each Flick Reaper job level gained after learning Reapers Dance, the required SP will drop as follows: 66,63,59,56,52,49,45,42,38,35.]
Tribal Grappler
Tribal Grappler is a class in The World R:2. They use Gauntlets as their weapons.
This class has the advantage of a very high attack speed, allowing it to achieve normal Rengeki extremely fast, in addition to very high HP. Their defense, however, is very low. They also have a very limited repertoire of arts, having only 2 skills available as of Rebirth.
Tribal Grappler Weapons
Skills[/i]
* Rapid Attack (Target: Unit, Normal, SP Required: 12, Job Lv. 1)
* King Hammer (Target: Unit, Piercing, SP Required: 15, Job Lv. 5)
* Tiger Bite (Target: Unit, Normal, SP Required: 24, Job Lv. 11)
* Palm Blast (Target Unit, Piercing, SP Required: 30, Job Lv. 15)
Steam Gunner
Steam Gunner is a class in The World R:2. Steam Gunners use steam-powered bayonets developed by humans to attack.
Their shots are skills that operate the exact same way spells do, but deal physical damage instead. Steam Gunners' shots have greater range than any other physical hit, and their physical attack stat has the fastest progression of any class. In exchange, their melee hits take the same penalty as those of the other "caster" classes in The World R:2 in that they lack any of the special types (i.e. "rapid attacks", "hold and release") that most classes have access to.
Steam Gunner Weapons
Skills[/i]
* Thorn Shot (Target: Area, Normal, SP required: 15, Job Lv. 1)
* Thunder Spark (Target: Unit, Piercing, SP required: 22, Job Lv. 4)
* Plectra Bullet (Target: Area, Aerial, SP required: 18, Job Lv. 7)
* Tempest Blast (Target: Area, Piercing, SP required: 40, Job Lv. 12)
* Sphere Bullet (Target: Area, Aerial, SP required: 36, Job Lv. 16)
* Dust Bullet (Target: Area, Aerial, SP required: 66, Job Lv. 21) 15)
[With each Steam Gunner job level gained after learning Dust Bullet, the required SP will drop as follows: 66,63,59,56,52,49,45,42,38,35.]
Adept Rogue
Adept Rogue is a class in The World R:2. Unlike other classes, its users do not specialize in a single weapon, or form of combat. Instead of practicing in the use of a particular type of weapon, an Adept Rogue acquires several forms through Job Extend, each of which allows him or her to use a different weapon type.
At the time of creation, the user picks 2 to 3 classes using a point-buy system, which restricts certain "unbalanced" combinations, such as Shadow Warlock and Harvest Cleric. They also pick freely from one of the 3 armor types. The Adept Rogue starts out in the game with their first chosen class, and must unlock the remainder through Job Extend. An Adept Rogue is given 4 points to use to choose from the following job options:
* Twin Blade: 1 Point
* Edge Punisher: 1 Point
* Blade Master: 1 Point
* Long Arm: 1 Point
* Heavy Axeman: 2 Points
* Heavy Blade: 2 Points
* Tribal Grappler: 2 Points
* Flick Reaper: 3 Points
* Steam Gunner: 3 Points
* Macabre Dancer: 3 Points
* Wavemaster: 3 Points
The "true power" of the Adept Rogue, Job Extend quests are limited-time quests in which an Adept Rogue may acquire his or her next form. One form the quests have taken is as a challenging solo dungeon where the Adept Rogue must not only fend for his or her self, but also solve a puzzle hidden in the dungeon itself. Another is one that can only be completed with the help of friends; if the Rogue opens the chest at the Beast Statue himself, the item is vaporized. It must be opened by a party member.
An Adept Rogue's stats are very balanced and independent of their chosen Jobs. Because of this, an Adept Rogue is generally "mediocre at everything", instead of being highly specialized like the other classes.
Although fully-extended Adept Rogues are allotted three jobs, their job levels raise much more slowly than any other class. Thus, a level 20 Flick Reaper will have access to more skills than a level 20 Adept Rogue with Flick Reaper as his or her only unlocked job. However, although progression is slower, a fully leveled Adept Rogue has access to more skills than any single class, and is very useful as a "jack of all trades".
Skills
They are able to learn any of the skills from their selected job choices.
